It was in the Spring of 2019 when the tulips were just beginning to make their appearance that this print showed its first beginnings in my mind. I started with the shape of tulip leaves and geometric-like tulip flowers and added ornate detail to each one of them. From there, I took it to the carving stage. After stamping the block hundreds of times (this always takes longer than expected), I uploaded the stamped pieces to digitize them and create a repeat.
My hope when you look at this print, is that it conjures up the deep joy one feels as they think of the first scents, warmth and possibility that spring brings. Available in three colour ways, Annie was created to add a playful, whimsy to your pillow mix!
